History
The Taste of Collier began in 1983 when a few local members of
the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association decided to
host an event that would express gratitude for the year round
residents that patronize the local restaurants. The first event
was very well received and the Taste of Collier Board
members decided for the second year event they would partner
with a local non-profit organization and donate a portion of
funds raised, thus giving even more back to the Collier Community.
Thirty years later, many local charities have shared in nearly $1,000,000 raised during the Taste of Collier events. These non-profit organizations that have benefitted over the years include: Collier County Chapter of the American Red Cross, St. Matthews House, Heil Luthringer, MS Home, READ of Southwest Florida, POLO Club, ROTC, Naples Alliance for Children, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), PACE Center of Immokalee, Catholic Charities and Mental Health Association.
Taste of Collier also contributes to local culinary programs, Pro Start Programs, and culinary scholarships. As well as sponsoring individuals for State and National competitions.
Join us for the 30th Annual Taste of Collier to be held April 28th at Bayfront Naples, corner of Goodlette Frank and Fifth Avenue South, in downtown Naples.
